This is Highland 8, it is the North Evans Fire District EMS/Rehab Unit. It is a 2008 Chevrolet Express with a McCoy-Miller Type III, BLS Ambulance. This unit rolls on all EMS requests as well as Car Accidents and Fires. It is also part of our Mutual Aid Alarm as a "Rehab" Unit.
 
In the patient area, it houses not only the stretcher but all the required equipment needed for Basic Life Support. Some of the equipment we have on board is Zoll AED 3 Defibrillator, Pulse Ox, Portable Blood Pressure Device. We also have onboard communications with multiple dispatch centers throughout the region. This rig has the ability to transport up to 2 patients at a time with a maximum of 2 EMT's in the rear with a driver and radio operator in the front.
Driver Side compartments carries our Backboards, Stair chair,  KED and Scoop Stretcher. The first compartment has all the  main Oxygen bottle for the rig.
This side carries "Jump" or "Crash" Bag, Road Flares, Safety Helmet and container of SpeedDry.  The patient area is also accessible through the side door.  There are extra sheets, towels and the AED is also accessible through this door.
